Penllen or Penlan 1800
« on: Friday 05 March 10 16:55 GMT (UK) »
I am researching the powell family who have roots in Radnorshire , Shropshire and Herefordshire
Thoughout my research the name Penllen keeps cropping up i.e Henry Powell gentleman of Penllen ,(1800's) sometimes the spelling different. I think its a farm ?
I also have a penland  cropping up in Herefordshire still the Powells , does anyone know of Penllen in Radnorshire (Begulidy area )
Regards Liz

Title - R/D/MB - Deeds and documents deposited by the Midland Bank, Craven Arms  AccNo.75

R/D/MB1/1-54 Deeds, etc. relating to Penllan Farm, Bugeildy (Beguildy), co.Radnor

http://www.powys.gov.uk/uploads/media/R_D_MB_bi.pdf

There is a mention of a Penry Powell of p.Benuildy (plaintiff) 25 August 1794.  Plus others for Penry and Henry Powell.

Hope this helps.
