old vehicle registration number

Not sure if this is the correct place for this query but if not someone will doubtless rap my knuckles. I found in an old photo album of my late parents a picture of a young girl ( who I think may be my mother, b 1905 )standing beside a vehicle with reg plate S 4267. Can anyone tell me when this Scottish number was issued?  As this will be a marker for the girl's age.   Souter

S and numbers was issued from 1903-20.  Presumably, registrations would have been fewer in the early years, so I would guess it could have been some time around 1915-7

If you post a photograph of the car I am sure someone can tell you when it was built. So if you have several examples, one of the whole vehicle would be best.
