Hi Cando & Bill

Sharada has just found a burial at the Two Wells Cemetery that looks interesting.  Remember husband no. 2 John Stanley BAKER was buried there.

A Mary Ann ORAFFERTY was buried there 8 May 1902 aged 80 years, of Port Gawler.

On the site I subscribe to the relative listed is a Thomas ORAFFERTY.

Cando, I wonder if you would mind having a closer look for a description of what relation he was to this Mary Ann.

regards,

Vee

ORAFFERTY Mary Ann
02 May 902  Status Widow  80 years  Relative Thomas ORAFFERTY [Deceased Husband]
Residence Two Wells  Death Place Two Wells  PtG 285/349

There are only two ORAFFERTY deaths in SA to 1915, both females.  Information on deaths certs only as good as the knowledge of the informant.

There are some snippets on TROVE about Mary Ann ORAFFERTY, her estate including assets and legacies.

Cheers
Cando

Hi Bill,

Don't know if you are still researching your GG history, but I have been researching the King family history for my husband Andrew King.

So far, this is what I have found out about Jane Treasure.

5th Mar 1855 - Jane arrived in Adelaide aboard the "Flora Kerr" with daughter Eliza. She travelled with brother John, his wife and her family.
14th Dec 1855 - Jane married Joseph JACKSON at the Trinity Church, Adelaide. (husband Robert Emery in Jail but was given a pardon conditional on his working in Tasmania)
12th Jul 1865 - Jane married John PARKER at Etteridges Eating House, Port Lincoln.
20th May 1871 - Jane was admitted to the Adelaide Lunatic Asylum suffering from dementia.
22nd May 1892 – Jane died at the Parkside Hospital, Adelaide and was buried at the West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide.

Hello Chrissy  and welcome to Rootschat.
Yes, I am still working on the tree and I would be interested to know where your husband fits in.
I'll send you a personal message.
