Hi Brenda. I did try to find more about Alexander Bowmans new wives but couldn't.. Did he have any further children  I have his history right back to the Agnews  which is where he inherited his middle name from.

Hi Lionel,
You can do a BDM search for free on https://www.bdm.vic.gov.au/ once you find the record, you can view some of the information provided and it also gives you the option of buying an online copy. Please note the website is under maintenance at the moment and is closed until the 19th Feb unfortunately. Also you can find information in the newspapers online. https://trove.nla.gov.au/ place names in the search, constantly modify the names within the search and sometimes adding a name or taking out a name, will come up with different results, you can then dwindle down the search by choosing the decade or state etc.
I have also listed my family tree on Ancestry and Familysearch.com you can then find some of the info there. I don't always add personal stories although some might have a little info about them.
I hope you find those sites informative as I have, that's where I have found all of my information as well as National Archives Australia website, http://www.naa.gov.au/ just type in names and see what you come up with.
Many thanks
Brenda

Hello Lionel
Alice Maud Bowman was my grandmother.  She married William Harrold and had two children: Iola and Alice (Alison). She died of septicemia shortly after Alison's birth.  Alison was my mother and she had three children: John (deceased), (Moderator edit: name removed to protect privacy) and m - Jeanette (known as Jan).

Hi JanniJanni, and welcome to RootsChat :)

To explain my edit of your first post, forum policy is to maintain personal privacy of living or possibly living persons.

The best way to get around this is to use the Personal Message ('PM') facility to exchange sensitive information (names of living persons, email addresses, etc.).

If you reply twice more to this topic, just a smiley icon in each will be fine, your PM facility will be activated. For more information about PM's see:
https://www.rootschat.com/help/pms.php

If you have any questions about using the forum don't hesitate to ask them on this topic. Either myself or others will help you along. 8)

Hi Lionel, its been quite a while since you originally posted, I've only just begun this family history journey myself but wanted to say that Robert Sealand Bowman is my Great Great Grandfather if you are still looking for info.  Cheers.
