Welcome to RootsChat Radnor1  :)

They are possibly still at the workhouse in 1891:

RG12/4585 83 8 & 84 9
Maesgwynne, Nantmel, Radnorshire
Martha Owen, pauper inmate, s, 23, Domestic servant, b. Nantmel
Laura Owen, pauper inmate, 3, b. Llanbadarfawr

Mary Owen, pauper inmate, s, 49, Domestic servant, b. Nantmel - imbecile
(in 1881, Mary was shown a 'lunatic')

I can't see them in 1871 at all but I'm wondering if this might be Mary!

Tati

Thank you so much this is wonderful.

My grandfather John Gordon Owen (Martha's son) was born in 1903, but I do not believe he was ever in the workhouse, but this may not be correct.

It is also very sad to think that a relative of mine was labeled an imbacile/lunatic and spent most of her life in the workhouse.
