They  were Catholic...    I can go back to my Great , great, great Grandfather,John Aylward 1790- 1840.  No other information on  him.   His  son , Michael Aylward 1810 -?   married Nora Brien.. No further information.   His  son,  Patrick, 1846 -1903. Married Margret Bergin, Pleberstown.
