WW1 soldiers
« on: Saturday 15 May 04 14:03 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I am trying to find my greatgrandfathers dob and place of birth. I have his WW1 army discharge papers, I know his rank, army number and the regiment he served with. Is there anyone who can advise me how to get further details about him from Kew, as everytime I e-mail them I get the same response, which advises me to visit their Archives or get some one else to research on my behalf.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Floridagirl. ::)

Hi Peter, that was a quick reply.
The details I have are as follows.
George Perry
born 28 th August 1883,
His army number is 67064
His rank is Corporal and he served in the Royal Field Artillery, it seems as though he was discharged from Blackheath. which I think is somewhere in the Midlands.
Thanks
Floridagirl.
