1837 Rebellion
« on: Wednesday 17 March 10 20:19 GMT (UK) »
I've recently come across some information regarding my 4th Great Grandfather John Grisdale.
He lived in Hudson, Quebec with his family.
In some information I was given by another relative it mentions that he was an Officer in the "Vaudreuil Loyal Volunteers" during the 1837 Rebellion.
Would there be any records of officers or soldiers left from the Lower Canada Rebellion?
I've found the Upper Canada Rebellion of 1837 on Ancestry.

Thoughts?

Hey Aislyn,

If you go to the Library and Archives Canada site and put in "Vaudreuil Loyal Volunteers" you will see what records they have available.

There seems to be quite a few microfilm reels which you can probably order the inter library loan, or maybe a trip to Ottawa is in order  ;D
