« on: Wednesday 17 March 10 20:24 GMT (UK) »
Is anyone researching this family tree, please.....I'm trying to find out if there's a connection to the Peach family of Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire (in particular Elizabeth Peach born in Titchmarsh 12/7/1789 )

There were numerous Peaches buried in Hunts, going way back. There were no Peach marriages in Hunts 1754-1837 where either party was of the parish of Titchmarsh.

A 70 year gap shouldn't be too difficult to bridge, one way or the other, although obviously there won't be a straight line link between Elizabeth 1789 and Averil 1859.

In 1861 his parents were Thomas 34 b Ellington Hunts (in 1871 he was 47 b Brampton), and Ann 35 b Clapton Northants

Thanks....No, I'm not expecting a direct line.

The context is that I'm trying to identify my gggg grandmother. I don't know her surname before marriage, but I know that she was an Elizabeth (Betsy) approx when she was born, that she was born in Titchmarsh Northants & that she later turns up as the wife of Lyon Asher in Nottingham.

Been through the Titchmarsh records & have narrowed the possibles down to 4......one of whom was Elizabeth Peach.

I was brought up in Nottingham & my godfather was a Cyril Peach. His family & my father's family were long term friends. Although Cyril was born & bred in Nottingham, I've found out that his ancestor was the Averil Peach of Brampton, mentioned above.

It's still in the realms of speculation, but it does add some weight to the idea that Elizabeth Peach could be my gggg grandmother.

With families in the Titchmarsh area (I've looked at other families) there seems to be quite a degree of moving back & forth across the county border for work etc, so it's possible that there was some kind of connection

Sorry but my Peaches are not from Northants but Derbys / Notts and I don't have a Cyril at all.  I don't think I am able to help you on this one.

Alli,
I noticed that on the BMD website - there were two Averil's, one died early and the next child appeared to be given the same name. The same thing appeared to happen with his one of his older sisters, Clara.  Are you related to Averil? He is my Great Great Grandfather. I would like to find some people with a connection to this side of the family. If anyone is, can you please send me a direct message? I am new to Rootschat, but I assume that is how it works.
Hazel.
