Maurice Meade is also mentioned in another booklet published by Buckley Print in 2009. It is called "The Dromkeen Ambush" (February 3rd 1921) and commemorates "The Officers & Volunteers of East Limerick and Mid Limerick Flying Columns" who took part in the ambush. A memorial was unveiled on February 8th 2009 at the site.

Thanks for that

I probably have enough for my purposes on the "The Dromkeen Ambush", it really the Irish Brigade stuff and what he did during the War of Independence other than the ambush

It is really good to be able get get the various memoirs of the Irish brigade members and compare and contrast their experiences.

Hello,
Can you help me find the descendants of John J Meade and Norah Walsh?
I am French and I live in France. My grandfather was called John Maurice Meade born in October 1910 Connecticut I am looking for his family it was the grandson of John and Norah Meade.
I'm disapointed, I can't find any family members.
Sincerely Karine
