1841 / 1851 ~ Look-up please ~ Amy JAY
« on: Tuesday 23 March 10 03:23 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Can anyone help, please ?    :)

And sorry, I'm having to employ some guesswork re: year/place of birth.

Seeking:

Amy JAY  --  Widow --  possibly in Battersea / Wandsworth areas.

Born between 1780 - 1788 ?

Birthplace :    Suffolk ?

[What is known:   Lucy JAY (3xg/gm) born 1805 Halesworth, Suffolk - baptised 1808 at Battersea - d/o Robert and Amy JAY.    Robert JAY - yeoman (farmer) of Battersea - d. 1840 - wife Amy, sole beneficiary of his will.]
Possible death of Amy JAY - 1859 - reg'd. Wandsworth ?

Many thanks.   :)

~  Lu

WOW .... Ian !!

You're an absolute CHAMPION !!!    :)

Thank you so much.   :)  :)

Yes ... you'd also found the AMBROSE (1841 - 1871) family (of "pew openers" ) for me earlier.   :)

[Had only just discovered, and downloaded the will of Robert JAY, confirming Amy as his widow, but figured she might be living independently of the Ambrose family.]

AND   ... extra special thanks for the marriage info for Lucy and her sister Sally.   :)    I didn't have either of those.

Your efforts are very much appreciated.

Many thanks again.

~   Lu
