Hi Stephen

I guess that makes us cousins ( a few times removed)  :)

My Grandmother was Amelia's younger sister Ellen.
I will send you a personal message regarding William and what I have found out recently

Hi Sarah,

You may have tracked down this information already.

From the Scarriff/Moynoe Baptism Records.

February 1865: "William Ryan of John Ryan & Mary Shaughnesy?" (Difficult to read Marys surname).

Thank you both for your messages, it was very kind of you to find the information.

I am trying to work out the name of the dwelling place on the civil records? I assume its somewhere close to Scarriff?

My next bit of detective work is to try and find the marriage of John Ryan and Mary Shaughnessy. So far i have not been able to find it or where they originate from.

thank you again

Sarah :)

I would imagine the dwelling place is the townland of "Fossabeg" in the parish of Tomgraney. Its close the town of Scarriff.

The marriage would be before 1860
2 more children
Mary 6th July 1860
possible marriage in 1884 to Thomas Goldsmith

Thank you again :)

Yes I think you are correct that is Mary.

I have not come across these records before, a little research for me this evening.
