Help with handwriting
« on: Friday 26 March 10 13:25 GMT (UK) »
I wondered if anyone with more experience than me at reading old handwriting would be able to decipher a couple of things.

I have a marriage between two Gypsy/Hawker families.  In the residence box, I can't read the first word,  it's something beginning with H.... in all parts of the south of England.

I also can't make out everything in the Father's profession box - Ratcatcher to the ????? the last word is Dealer.

Many thanks for any help anyone can give me on this.

Oops, I just realised that there is a separate place for this kind of query, but I'm not sure how to move the message!

Thank you very much for your help, that is really great.   I now have another lead to follow up - the University and City of Oxford and I would never have deciphered the word Itinerant.   :) :) :)
