Hi Can anyone help? I know of a Thomas Thomson of Lochhead, Mochrum but have no idea if he is a relation. I have ,by marriage, a Margaret Brown neeMenzies 25/3/1858 who lived at Lochhead and married William McTurk Brown and had eight children two daughters lived in Clydebank,one was Margaret Routledge Paterson Russell nee Brown and the other was Mary Jane Kerr Ferguson nee Brown. Any help in tracing the above Thomas Thomson or any McTurk Brown descendents whose parent would be Alfred (14/6/!885) Helen(16/1/1887) Thomas William (11/4/1888) Hugh (24/7/1890) Margaret Routledge Paterson (5/9/1891) George (12/3/1893) Jessie Dodds (9/3/1893) and Mary Jane Kerr30/8/1898). Other names associated with this family are McQuaker,Russell,Gray,McWhirrter, Ferguson and Thomson. Places associated with these names are Lochhead ,Back Derrie, Old Mill Farm, Airyligg, Elrig village, Airylick and Kirkcowan,would be very welcome as it is proving difficult to make progress.
So if anyone can help with slightest of clues please help.
