Only just seen this post - Samuel Rutherford Crockett was my husband's great uncle by marriage.  I have the family history if you are still interested.

I would like a copy if it's no trouble - we knew Samuel Rutherfurd had died in France but had no evidence of burial in Scotland.

Hope this link is still active.  I have a marriage registration for Agnes Crocket (c1857), a 27 year old dressmaker & James Alexander Macmurray (1854), a 30 year old house painter in Castle Douglas on 19 Sep 1884.  Her parents were James Crocket (tailor) & Janet Baird.  Do you have a link to Agnes in your research?
Best regards
