Abner Bramley

I believe that Abner Bramley emgrated to Australia but I don,t know when.

On the 1911 census his wife Mary Jane is living with her parents (married in 1906 at Darlington) but Abner does not turn up on the census so perhaps he has gone to Australia on his own, Mary Jane joining him later.

Can anyone provide info about when they emigrated and where to in Australia

A couple of possibles for Abner = "A Bramley", heading for Sydney, 1909 or 1910.

Thanks Jorose,  great work, I have taken a note of all the details and contacted the cemetery to see if there is a headstone. I only found out at the weekend that that there was a Forster relative in Australia.

After I had posted the original topic on the general emigration posts it occured to me that it would have been better on Australia. In the event I have had great responses from both posts.

Happy to hear that - just what we'd expect from Rootschat! 

My concern is to avoid duplication though, especially if people are spending a lot of time (or money!) researching on your behalf.  Best to link the topics or just post one at a time.  You can always ask a Moderator to move a thread for you.
