Reduction in size of web pages etc.,

In the course of 'spring cleaning' my computer I'm afraid that I have inadvertently altered something which causes everything shown on the monitor to be reduced in size.  I can always correct the problem by using System Restore but sometimes when I return after shutting down it's back to square one.  Can someone please suggest how to fix the problem ?

Just press Ctrl and + and you can increase to whatever size you want.

It's possible that you have changed the screen setting but if you could clarify what you mean by everything it would help.

Thank you Lizzie and Falkyrn for your replies.  I find that pressing Ctrl and + is a much faster way to increase the size than using System Restore which involves closing down and waiting for the restart. I'm most grateful.
