Hello,
I'm also looking for SMITH ancestors @ Newtown Hamiltom Armagh Ire.
- my g/g/gfather Michael  Smith bc1811
and his brother John b.c 1809  b at Newtown Hamilton Armagh.
Their parents - Henry(Harry) SMITH and Bridget Hannah WAY.

Michael married Mary Ann daughter of Thomas/ Mary CALLAGHAN (?)b.Louth.
John married Mary MACRISH (MACREESH ?)

Michael and John were shipped to Australia 1835.
I have Michaels descendants (to 1998) except for one grandaughter Ann.

I've found John's only daughter Catherine married in Ireland to Patrick McDonald bCreggan Armagh -  they came to Australia in 1857. Had 7 girls - from BD&M, one married a Southerland - one married a MacNerney - I haven't researched further as yet or been in touch with John's descendants.

I'm wondering if Michael and John had brothers and sisters in Armagh. I've done the usual research BD&M on the internet and searched message boards. Maybe someone has my SMITHS on their tree.
Thanks
Elaine
