hi all,

once again i have recieved an old photograph of the family, it is not brilliant and once again it is all i have. i wonder if some kind soul can do anything with it?

Hi Joe...This is the "Raby Castle"  Public House that was down Campbell Street off Hessle Road in Hull...I grew up in Hull and would love to do this one for you but it is only scanned at 96dpi and pixelates badly on enlargement...is there any chance that you can get a scan of 300dpi...the results would be so much better and would give you a copy that would print.

hi carol,

i have also posted the 1890 photo, from the same person, at this time i cannot contact the person nor can i lay my hands on  the original, i suppose i will need to bit the bullet on these 2 photo's and wait till i get a better picture.

If you get the original, Joe, scan at 300dpi and crop the surround off it...it's a dating tool but not necessary for restoration and takes up too much space.
