Hi I am trying to establish the whereabouts my Father was born
I can confirm his name was Francis Duffy born Aug.1911 within Roscommon/Mayo his Fathers name was  Michael
What I need to know is his Mothers maiden name
I have been told that Francis had three older sisters
I would love to get in touch with any of F.D. ascendants

In anticipation thanking you for your kind assistance

Thank you for your wonderful response.
The three (3) names match with what I have established in my research.
It is a positive step towards concluding my research.
I am in the process of obtaining via the GRO a birth certificate which will verify Michael Duffy wife name.

Thank you

Hoping you can guide me in the right direction.
During my research I was told that all three girls moved to America, if so how can I trace when and if this is true.

Kind regards

Norman

Hi Norman,

A Mary Kate Duffy born in ballaghadore co roscommon, in 1905/06 travelled on the Baltic to New York but her father is down as Brian Duffy. Address is Dererreck... or something like that, Ballaghadreen.

Another Mary Kate Duffy born in Currocogline... dont know where this is but could it be Curraghsallagh but was spelt wrong. She travelled in 26th Sep 1927 to New York on the ship La Conia.

Two other Mary Kates with the same age from Monaghan and Longford.

I have an Ellen Duffy born in ballaghadereen arriving in 20 Apr 1925 on the La Conia ship to New York, born in 1908. Father is listed on Arrival Document as Michael Duffy of Briarfield, Lisacul, Ballaghadereen. Her final destination is Cambridge.

Couldnt find a Bridget to match this.
