Hi Erros

Can you think of any other county in which he lived in about 1961/62?

Hi Ligularium,

My Mum didn't know him in 61 and 62, but she knew he lived in Yarmouth, Scotland and Cornwall when they met and married.

He was born in Diss, Suffolk.

Regards,

Sam

Hi Erros

It is important that we are talking about the same person.

I'll send you a PM.

Hello I have been trying for years to find out where Bru Woolsey was and I came across this site. I knew him as a young girl when I lived in Hemsby nr Great yarmouth. He was an inspiration to me and my love of horses. Is it possible for anyone to pm me?
kind regards
dotty Lotty

Hi dotty Lotty
I think you have to have posted 3 times on Roots Chat before you can receive personal messages.

Hello Samantha,

Just Googled Brian Woolsey for the second time in 10 years and came across this web site with you on it..

Very sorry to hear that Bru is no longer with us....Was it the Fags or motorcycles?

I was your fathers best friend from late '65 to about 1970...I'm sure  i was even at his and Lesley's  wedding.. well i have photos of it in my album... but alas,my memory fails me.......we were planning to go into the photo business at about that time...so i may have taken some..
Bru and i and Rosemary my now wife spent a lot of time together..We were Art students..I knew his Grandfather ( i think it was ) with whom he lived who had a small abode just along from the art school towards Regent Road...A group of us would sit all day in the BigV coffee bar...He seemed happy but did suffer from depression and because of that booked himself into a sort of hospital in Thorp where he could rest and sort himself out...I sat with him for hours .....We were both sea front photographer for 3/4 years and i have some pix of him on the sea front and in the caravan parks where we took colour slides of the happy campers...It was quite dodgy taking happy snaps of mods and rockers...but we did.......His other big interests were motorbikes (we came off on a roundabout) and shooting...I lived for a very short time in a shed at the Hemsby  nursing home..We thought we may go into business  but it didn't work out and i moved to Royston  got married and moved to Gloucestershire...not a million miles from you..Last time i saw Bru was at The Acle Sale about 30 years ago.....Anyway give my respects to your mum and her sister..If you would like me to dig out any old snap shots of your dad i will...Maybe a meeting someday? Whatever happened to the Best Man??  he used to call him Cardinal.

They all called me ...BigG in those days 'cos i had been in the Marines........

Hi Geoff,

I'm sorry I haven't replied but I have only just read this.

It's wonderful to hear from you, my Mum certainly remembers you.  Alas I have very few photographs of my Dad, so it would be lovely to see some. His death is very sad. I will give you my private email so that you can contact me directly. It is (*)

I hope to hear from you soon,

Samantha
