CRAIGMILE
« on: Sunday 02 May 10 21:36 BST (UK) »
We are tracing Alfie Craigmile who lived in Alford had a son Alfie (who married Betty and had Elizabeth Craigmile lived at Bridlefolds Whitecairns, Scotland) to Helen (who became a Copeland) then went on and married Elsie and had Gordon. His family was wood cutters and his brothers moved to America. I know young Alfie went over to America to meet one of the family.

Hi Lisa

Have you read our guide-lines for posting?

http://www.rootschat.com/help/posting_guide.php

Please don't post any information about living people as it will be removed. Also be careful about posting info on people who have recently died.

We really need definite information with names & dates if we are to help you go backwards.

What research have you already done?

Have you found them in the 1891 or 1901 census?

Have you established that this family all came from Scotland? There is more than 1 Alford in this country.

I can help answer many of your questions regarding Alfie and Alfred. Alfred was my grandfather.

Hi Jim

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

Lisa hasn't been online here since just after her earlier post.

Hopefully she'll receive notifications that we have posted and come back soon.

Fingers crossed.
