Help with dating these photographs please

Further to my thread yesterday, here are three photos showing - I hope - my Gt Gt Grandparents Charles (born 1823 died 1903) and Eliza Clifford (born 1830).  The third photo (which I will send separately) shows a family group taken in the grounds of their house; I have calculated that this would be about 1865 to 1867 (judging by the censuses and the ages of the children).  Charles Clifford was listed as a "manufacturer of photographic materials and chemicals....." and apparently began selling photographic materials in the late 1850s (info from the National Portrait Gallery website) - so I think that he could well have taken the family group.

I have always been told by older members of the family that these photos are of Charles and Eliza and I would be very grateful if you could confirm that the photos fit in with the dates!

I have had to resize the photos - it's the first time I have done this so I hope that all is OK.

I forgot to say in my first post that the photos of Eliza and Charles seem to be on very thin paper and to have been glued onto yellow card.  On the verso side of the photo of Eliza is another photo which I am posting - I wondered what went wrong with it!!  It looks as if someone has tried to scrape the photo off the card..... is the head missing because of "over-exposure"?

These are to small,you need to rescan them at 600dpi & show all of the card plus the back.
This is what I'm looking at close up.

I'm not very good at resizing etc - .... I tried to post a new scan, but it wouldn't go through, so I checked the size and although I had put 600 pixels, for some reason, it seems to have scanned at over 6000!!! So, I have tried again and it now says 768 pixels, so I hope it works and that you can see the picture. It is all a bit trial and error for me!!

Unfortunately I don't have the original of the family group, only a copy. However, I have two other photos in the same series and the photos have both been stuck onto card and framed, so it is impossible to see the back of the photo.

Do you want me to rescan the other three "portrait" photos, too - or are they OK?

What we need to know is what cardstock has been used.The 3 portraits look 1870's & taken in the same studio but we need to see all of it.
The family group is quite blurred but probably the best you could get from a copy but I would suggest this is 1870's also.

Thank you very much for your reply - from what you have said about the dates, I think that these photos are indeed of Charles and his family.

I have scanned the back of the photo of Charles and am attaching it - as you can see, it seems that either it has been stuck onto something, or something has been stuck onto it, and then someone has taken it off..... there are a couple of layers around the edges of glued paper.  He seems to have used the card twice....
