cairns-cameron marriage in innerleithen or traquair
« on: Sunday 16 May 10 11:01 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find a marriage between Agnes Cairns and John Cameron around 1852,and the only reference I can find is to one  in the Innerleithen and Traquair area.I'd really like to know the names of their parents so that I can proceed with my search further back.Their first child,Mary Cameron was born in Colinton,Midlothian,in1853.Can anyone help?It would be very much appreciated.Thank you.

hi Islay  :)

did this couple end up in auckinleck ayrshire in 1881 census
john cameron 55 born morven argyll
agnes cameron 53 born newlands peeble

given the location of the banns/marriage in 1852
this might be them before marriage in 1851 census -

Wow!My first day on Rootschat, and a question answered so quickly. Thank you so very much for taking the time to reply to my post. The couple certainly did live in Ayrshire later, and the census information you provided explained to me why the banns were read in both those parishes. This has been such a wonderful surprise this morning - thank you again for your time and help.
