my estmate is that Bridge came out to Australia when she was about  16yrs of age, would she still have been classed as an orphan?

At 16 she may not have been classified as an orphan if employed. She may have been in the employ of someone whom brought her with them to Australia or was sponsored to come to Australia by an employer/relative.

I cannot find her on assisted passage lists and many a ship arrived in Sth Aust where only the first class passengers were named and others passengers mentioned, eg; "18 in second cabin". If she worked her passage as a crew member she will not be listed except in the ships logbook, immigration records and maybe newspapers around the time.  Try the NLA.

Note; 1851 - Ships arrived in Adelaide - approx. 275,  Immigration recorded was 8,464 persons.

On the NSW Convict Index via NSW State Records web site.
Martin Mulhare, 1835, vessel name Forth
Tried at Tipperary

Certificate of Freedom dated 6/9/1841

I wonder if this is Bridget's father? Tipperary is next to Laois (old Queens County)

If 1835 was the year he was convicted/arrived in Australia, the maths could be calculated to say this chap would have left a pregnant wife / newborn behind in Ireland. If she had younger siblings to the same father it won't be him. Could also be too young or too old to be her father, a birth date is needed.

Unfortunately do not think this is my Martin Mulhare.
Irish Convicts to NSW  - 1788 - 1849 states he is SINGLE
Although his age is ok. Born 1809 Tipperary Co.
Convicted 1834. Term 7 years. Arrived Sydney 1835 on the Forth 3 . Age 26.

I believe I have found Bridget's arrival into South Australia.
(Ship 55/14) 30 April 1855 on the ship "David Malcolm"
She is listed as - Mulhere, Briget , Single,  age 18. from copy held on fiche at SAGHS
The Ships web site shows her as Mulhern, Bridget age 18 single, Irish. ( I believe incorrectly transcribed).
If age is correct that would make year of birth c1837.
On her marriage certificate she has signed her name Bridget Theresa Mulhere.
