Hi Owen

I can find quite a number of McVay families in the North of England.  Do you have any christian names you would like me to pick out?

Best wishes

For example in 1871 I found four families headed by Daniel Mcvay 57 John Mcvay 28 Patrick Mcvay 58  William Mcvay 36 - the last two were both born in Ireland if that helps.

Let me know if you want any details posting.

Best wishes

Hi
I'm doing my family tree and the McVay family is part of mine. Patrick McVay married Mary French who then went on to have several children. Mary had a child before him though, which is surrounded by a mystery, possibly the child of Alfred Forster.  She was a servant girl at bridge house farm in 1911 and my nana Ivy was born to her in 1913
