Hi Mick

I realize this is an old quest of yours, and I have nothing to add in the way of new information!
Was just wondering if you had found any further confirmation or documentation.
My interest is that John (b 1680) is my 6th GG.
I haven't delved too far down this road due to distance (in Canada!), and because it could go one of two ways (maybe more!):

His father John Swan b. c.1645 married in 1666 Susannah Gudri.
His father John Swan b  c.1620 married Miriam Carter.
OR
John, son of William and Maria (with a sister Elizabeth born 1682)

At this point, I'd be more interested in knowing more about John... how did he make his living? where did he live? was his wife actually Susanna Wilson? who were her parents? what did they do? how many children did John and Susanna have? how did they die?
You know, the usual stuff!
I still have boxes of my father's research to go through - perhaps there is more information there, but I am not optimistic!

Thank you!
Susan

   Hi
Just as a matter of interest are you with 'Ancestry', if you are I can link you to my tree,
   so see what I have.
The way I try to dig into a parish were I am searching I use a search method that seems
to open a parish up, like.

             Stibbington, Huntingdonshire parish records.

If there are any for the likes of Stubbington enter the link to 'Familysearch' then church
records, it should show a list of who has records if there are, familysearch is free, its like
the IGI and 'Archer software', they are self explanatory to open.
Any way in the mean time I will have a look at what you have and see if I can help.

   Regards ...mick
