For the gravestone which you purchased from findagraveinscotland:-

Neilston Cemetery

Enter by the main gate and is on the right hand side before you reach the small roundabout – it is in the row in front of the Shanks gravestones.

Erected By
Janet Stirrat
In memory of her husband
William Duguid
Who died 3rd January 1882 aged 58 years
Also their son Joseph
Died 23rd September 1868 aged 14 years
And is interred in Neilston Churchyard
Also their grandchildren
William Duguid
Died 31st October 1884 aged 7 years
Ann Duguid
Died 5th November 1884 aged 14 months
The above Janet Stirrat
Died 23rd December 1894 aged 64 years
Their daughter Elizabeth
Who died 14th July 1898 aged 36 years
Also James Duguid
Who died at Annfield, Neilston
29th May 1925 aged 74 years
His wife Ann McDougall
Who died 23rd March 1892

Along the bottom of the stone the following is inscribed:-

The combat’s o’er the prize is won.

Annfield will be the name of the house they lived in - perhaps some one who knows Neilston will know if the house is still there. The cemetery they are in is on google maps as Barrhead, Neilston cemetery (SW-bound). It is the main gate which is shown on the street view.
To give you an idea of where the stone is:

Fantastic Murphyz, this is amazing.  I cannot express my gratitude for doing this work for me.  Hopefully one day I'll make it over there to see it myself!

I have no idea whether these are relations but I have found two other stones in Neilston cemetery with the name Duguid on them:-

I will need to go back and get photos, please don't purchase them from findagraveinscotland as I don't think you will be able to read one of them - I must have walked passed it 10 times without realising - the weather has not been kind to the stone. For the first stone - Enter by the main gates, turn left at mini roundabout, keep walking straight on at cross roads, stone along on the right hand side. Seconf Stone , enter at main gates and is on right hand side, one row back from where the Shanks stones are.

From Scotlands People - there is a death of a Margaret Hutchison, parents William Duguid (deceased) and Janet Stirrat (deceased) in 1946 at 81 Kelburn Street, Barrhead - I think that must be your James's sister.

Looking on familysearch.org I think William Paris Duguid mentioned on the other gravestone message must be a brother of your James.

Also from Scotlands People - a Mary Turnbull, widow of Mathew Turnbull died 1930 aged 71. Parents listed as William Duguid and Janet Stirrat (both deceased).

If anyone has a good knowledge of Barrhead History if they could help - I am sure Mathew Turnbull was some one!

Thanks Murphyz, aside from the email I sent talking about how I'm unsure how James fits into all of this, the rest of everything you've stated seems correct, and fills in the holes nicely.

I don't know if this link will work, but I've been filling in my ancestry.com tree with the info you've provided:
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/2737257/family?fpid=611835888

Thanks again.
