I have found this record which would fit with what you have told me?

Annie MCKERNAN Date of departure: 4 June 1910 Port of departure: Londonderry Passenger destination port: New York, USA Passenger destination: New York, USA Date of Birth: 1882 (calculated from age) Age: 28 Marital status: Single Sex: Female Occupation: Servant

I have searched for a passenger by the name of Robert John from Derry to England but am not having much luck!
Areas: Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.

Main Names: Wood, Taylor, Beckworth, Whysall, Hull [and many others when I go off on a tangent!! lol]

Hi Lainie3961,

Thanks for this could be her.  Do you know the name of the ship or can you get a copy of her passport application?

Maybe he was just called Robert Marshall?

Thanks for all your help I will get there eventually.

Kieran

PS Can you find an Andrew McKernan and a Bridget McKernan with there daughter Margaret they would of left after 1848 or so.

Ship: FURNESSIA
Official Number: 76900
Master's name: John Black
Steamship Line: Anchor
Where bound: New York, USA
Square feet: 11150
Registered tonnage: 3606
Passengers on voyage: 90

The records coverage is 1890-1960 so if they left about 1848 then the records are not there for me to look at. I can only access passenger records leaving UK ports.

Areas: Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.

Main Names: Wood, Taylor, Beckworth, Whysall, Hull [and many others when I go off on a tangent!! lol]

I have just had a quick look through passport application for 1903 [that is the latest records I can access. Nothing - but then I wouldnt think that she would apply before early 1910.

I assume that these records include application made in Northern Ireland - the records do not say either way.
Areas: Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.
