I am interested in the 'Forlorn Hope of Santa Luca' near Pisa and how to find the names of those Irish soldiers who fought and were wounded.

Giles, the Forlorn Hope was an action taken during a battle, not the site name of the battle, volunteers were called for to storm an impregnable(?) position.SOME times more than once!
Hard men for hard times, trust the Irish to volunteer! If they survived they had monetary reward, and wonder of wonders,a special badge thet gave them a bit of prestige amongst other soldiers.
Sorry,just babbling on again!!!!
                Cheers,Goggy
