Here are the Creatons in Co Mayo on Griffith's Valuation, taken 1857 in Mayo, by

Townland,  Civil Parish

Ballinamore, Killedan 8
  John 2
  Philip 3
  Patrick 2
  Laurence 1
Cuillalea, Killedan 2
  James
  James
Derrycashel, Aghamore 5
  Michael 2
  James 2
  Anthony 1
Woodfield, Aghamore 1
Killaturly, Kilbeagh 1
Derryvohy, Killedan 1
  Daniel

And attached is a map of where they are.

So chances are pretty good that Miles came from somewhere in that area.

If you know of any siblings, you might find them on the baptism records, even if you don't find Miles. Maybe even on the Civil Records if Miles was toward the older end of the family. It would really help to have his mother's name though, before you start guessing who the siblings are on the records.

------
And someone else might know -- is Miles a saint's name? If not, would he be baptized with a saint's name as a given name?

Adding to this. Now know he was from Connacht so where will I find records please?

Can you update people as to anything new found in past 8 years?  Easier if everyone is up to date!
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Your rootsweb tree, https://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=DESC&db=josephinesfamily&id=P2278902637

says Miles had 3 children, Sarah, John, and Mary. Did he have anymore children and what were their names? Do you know his wife's parents' and siblings' names? I see her father was James, but he is widowed in 1891 when they are living with him.

Edit: Mary Sims' mother was Ann Burke  (from same rootsweb tree).

Just trying to make an educated guess at Miles' mother's name and maybe those of his brothers and sisters. There were naming patterns that might help you work backward or sideways.

Is Miles a variation of Michael? Can also be Milo? An Irish FH website, name of which I've forgotten, has lists of name variations and in which part of Ireland some were common. *
What would have been Latin version of Miles in a register?
An English Catholic great-uncle of mine was registered with name Miles after an uncle-by-marriage but was instead baptised John after his paternal grandfather. No idea if it was family or clerical objection which altered the name. He used both names in later life, with Miles/Myles as his middle name.

*Edit.

Robert Matheson, then Irish Registrar-General wrote a book:
"Variations and Synonymes of Surnames and Christian Names in Ireland for the Guidance of Registration Officers and the Public in Searching the Indexes of Births, Marriages and Deaths" published by H.M.S.O 1901.

For the spelling Creighton in Mayo on Griffith's Valuation  I found this man:

Griffith's Mayo 1857
Creighton
Townland, Parish
Cuiltybo, Kilcolman
  John 1

Interestingly also, at the index at findmypast.ie for Catholic baptisms:

children of John and Mary Creighton, Kilcolman:
Sara, 1842
Joseph, 1845

-----
for the John and Margaret/Peggy Crayton in Swineford

Ellen, 1846
John, 1848
Catherine, 1851

---
If Miles' father is the John Creighton in Kilcolman, it would explain his daughter Sara's name in 1891.

An Irish family history forum you may be interested in is Ireland Reaching Out https://www.irelandxo.com

It's organised by parish and county. If you don't know which civil parish your ancestor came from you can post on the county board.
