Nant y Dderwen, Llanddewi Brefi
« on: Tuesday 08 June 10 11:07 BST (UK) »
Farmhouse buildings called Nant y Dderwen in Prysg and Carfan, LLanddewi Brefi  I think were once known as Efail Fach.  I'm tracing a John Davies, labourer son of John Davies, labourer who lived there at the time of his marriage in 1838 to Rachel Edwards, born Nancwnlle, Father David Edwards, Labourer
Interested in Tŷ Mawr, Cellan and Davies family.  I'm related to Joseph Davies and Rachel Davies both buried in the church yard.  Joseph died c 1833 and Rachel in the 1780s

I've stayed in Llanddewi Brefi in the past and visited several farms, but I don't recognise those names, sorry.

Probably your best bet is to contact the Ceredigion Library Service and ask about local history archives.

Because the library service may have records of their own too.

only one library in the county mentions resources on the website - the one in Aberystwyth
