Henry James Hogg lookup

Very little info about the above, was born in 1901 ( same year that Queen Victoria died). family talk about Downpatrick and entry on postcard mentions Clough or Chough, writing not very clear. Had brother & sister Joseph and Mary Hogg.

His father died when he was young,, became bread winner very young, eventually joined the Inneskillins.
Could anyone help

Have you tried searching the Irish Civil BMD index for his birth ?

There's two possible matches that I see .. one in 1901 and one the year before in the registration district of Downpatrick :

There's a place named Clough less than 6 miles from the town of Downpatrick - see : Downpatrick to Clough

Have moved this thread to DOWN board since the county is known.

1911 census has Hogg family in Clough townland- includes Henry (age 10) and a Patrick Joseph (age 7) but no child named Mary.

This might be Henry's family in 1901 census (taken 31 Mar.1901) in Erinagh townland- baby Henry is 8 months old (see scanned original of page)- the 2nd birth registration in Downpatrick district that Shane found earlier in this thread would likely be his birth:

john alexander hogg married sarah walker belfast 1899 volume 1 page 469 .

added .
john hogg 11 jan 1879 ballyhanwood down ,
father , john alexander hogg ,
mother , catherine patterson

of course there could have been more than one john hogg married to a sarah .
and more than one john hogg born circa 1877 .
