Well Aghadowey and Kingskerswell
I have had a very quick coffee and you have come up trumps. :
The missing child in 1875 for John Malone and Mary Moon ,I think, is my grandfather - Edward Scott Malone -born 29th September,1875 at Knockaduff, Coleraine. He went to Scotland just before the turn of the century. The earliest I have is 1901 Scotland Census.  Edward is listed as being a boarder in - 1 North Hamilton Street, Kilmarnock, and seems to be 26 at that time, so fairly confident that his him.  He married a Catherine Butler in 1908 in Glasgow.
Now, I'm just wondering where I go from here. ' I'll be back'.
Grateful Thanks

Hello Aghadowey
Re. - your last post, do you know where I can get the information you gave me  on - William Malone's marriage to Jane Cunningham or any info. on Mary Moon's father Thomas Moon and his marriage.  I think that William Malone and Thomas Moon were farmers around 1864 but have been checking the land records and not coming up with anything.  Many Thanks again.
Regards
Jeser

The information I posted was gathered from a variety of sources over many years. The main ones are-

William Malone/Nancy Hemphill and John Malone/Mary Moon- marriages, Coleraine Registry Office.
Children of John Malone/Mary Moon- birth registrations, baptisms Aghadowey Presbyterian Church.
William Malone d.1864- newspaper obituary.

I think the William Malone/ Nancy Hemphill  marriage, is the son of the William I am looking for but it could be the William Malone d.1864 - obituary.
Lots of information there for me to investigate- Thanks again.

Regards
Jeser.

Not sure if this is relevant but folowing on from Aghadowey's information Ellen Malone married Samuel Andrews in Ballylaggan Reformed Presbyterian Church, Macosquin Parish, Coleraine on 15 Jul 1875. She appears on the 1901 and 1911 census living in Garvagh (Sarvagh in 1901).

Regards

I am interested in this Ellen Malone - does anyone know who her parents are, where she lived?

Many thanks

Ellen Jane Malone - Born 13 June 1877 in Aghadowey. If this is the person you are looking for, her father was - John Malone and her mother's name was Mary Malone nee Moon. She was one of nine siblings - being the seventh child to John and Mary.

Many thanks both Ahadowey and Jeser, but I don’t think this can be the right. The Ellen Malone I am looking for, married in 1875 at Ballylagan Reformed Pres. Church.

What is given on the marriage certificate for her residence & father's name and occupation? also names of both witnesses?
