 My connection to George Huggan (1824-1895) & Jemima Rae (1827-1894) are through their 5th child ,James (1855-1894).
 George & Jemima had 8 known children.

    I also see that John Huggan (1863-1941) & his wife Isabelle Turner (1861-1930) had 3 children at least I have only found 3 so far.

Thank you both! As far as I know, John Huggan & Isabella Turner did only have 3 children – Jemima Rae Telfer (nee Huggan), Isabella Elliot Ballantyne (nee Huggan) & George Huggan – and I've got an old photo of the 3 as children, so it's great to find out more details about their heritage. There seems to be a few Jemima Rae Huggans, as it was 3rd time lucky on the correct birth cert. Happy to share if the other certs are of use to anyone.

Hello! I'm a descendant of the Huggans. My great grandmother is Jemima Rae Huggan. My great great grandmother is Mary Huggan. Would love to connect with my Scottish heritage to develop my tree and share stories. Mary Huggan is buried in a cemetery in Birtley. Jemima Rae Huggan married name Harrison is buried in Saltwell Cemetry. Look forward to hearing from you 😀
