Also - can you see the characters at the bottom of the Edit menu - see those nice little arrows three in from the left on the 'Roman' menu!  (its the default  - on my computer anyway!)   about third line down sort of convict broad arrows - how do I make them work??   Please

Denn  ;D ;D ;D ;D   Are you speaking English????    new layer??  Vector mask??  handles  (no I do know the last!!  ;))  but I can't see a free transform path in my Edit menu   I do have tools and it says resize - but that is not area size that is pixel size!!  phew that's a bit technical!!   ::)

Thank you Denn, give yourself a pat on the back.    I gave up on the manual, couldn't make head or tail of it, but this was soooooooooooooo easy.

Cheers

Glad to be of help, by the way another handy trick is to draw circles or elipses as in my examples.

Simply use the select tool to select a square, circle, elipse or any selection you wish. Then go to edit and in the dropdown box select stroke - that opens a box that will give you a choice of colour and line thicknes, make your choice, press enter and wallah!

Wiggy, don't worry about what Denn is saying!  :D  He is talking about an entirely different program on a Windows computer.  ;)

The "Special Characters" at the bottom of the Edit menu are the fonts (typefaces) which your computer is using.  Choose Annotate/Add Text and click/drag a "text box". You can then type anything into it, or choose an arrow symbol from the Characters palette.  Once again, it will stick when you save the image.
