Hugh Little - 1880

My grandfather Hugh Little was born in 1880 but in the Census for 1901 is shows he was at Rascarrel Farm/Cottages and was 21 but born in Moffatt, his birth certificate shows Kirkpatrick Juxta - County of Dumfries - confused !

Hi

The only one showing  that I can see b. 1880 on the 1881 is b. Kirkpatrick Juxta.  Parents are Robert and Marion. Does that fit?

I'll go look on SP to make sure  :)

Just done a search on SP on Hugh Little b 1879-1881 and the only one is b. Kirkpatrick Juxta - 1880

Thanks - wonder why on Census it shows as Moffat as place of birth ?

It could be that the parishes were adjacent and he was b. close to the parish boundary - have you got an address from his birth cert?
