Cemetery Records - Stoneykirk/Kirkmaiden

Hi there,

Does anyone know where I can access burial records relating to cemeteries in Stoneykirk/Kirkmaiden.  Or even records of headstone inscriptions for the area?

I am looking to trace the location of a burial in 1930.

Any thoughts?

We were there yesterday researching a Grandparents grave.
Stoneykirk is a very small and beautiful location set on a hill overlooking the sea the surrounding fields and farms.

There is a little church there with details of all the graves but because its so small you could just spend an hour walking around (like we did) and viewing each headstone.
Theres an old section and a newer / new section.

I agree with you Jill, it is a lovely place and quite an unspoilt part of the country.

I am also searching for any info in Stoneykirk/Kirkmaiden for the McClinton family..one of you online angels provided me with a few names from memorial inscriptions...i was wondering if anyone has photos or any idea how to obtain photos of their headstones? William and Mary(Gribbin) McClinton were my ggrandparents.. Thanks again to everyone who is a blessing in disguise to so many of us!!

Hi Allan, if you are in the area(i believe its kirkmaiden cemetery)..i have some family members,McClintons,buried there..William and Mary were my gg grandparents..there is other family members there as well..all with last name McClinton..i want to also thank everyone who has kindly offered to take photos for those of us unable to..i dont want to put anyone out but we all sure do appreciate it...thanks, Jodi
