Burton Street Newington St Mary

Gt. Grandparents gave  Burton St   Newington St Mary address on their marriage  1857.
I believe this  St. and others near by, were declared slum area and demolished late 1890's early 1900's. Hoping to find any ref. help re any articles that may have covered this. Tried search on Burton St.  not found any details to date.
