Hello,

I too am very cautious about Thomas's parents being William and Mary Henley.  Can anyone shed any light on who they think his parents are?  I am pretty sure he came out to Australia on "David Malcolm" on 23.3.1848.  Just starting my searches on this fandangled Rootschat.  So lets see what crops up.

Thanks

Hi All,

I've been researching the Messenger side as I am also a relation. Thomas Messenger would be my great great great Grandfather. Just wondering how everyone went on with their search.

Thanks

Thank you Kathryn.

Like others on this forum I've gotten mixed results, such as his parents being William Messenger and Amy Mills.

Yes, Thomas was MARRIED to Amy Mills!  Actually we have a small Messenger loop going, based in South Australia.  The people there have been very busy and have come up with lots of answers!  Some fascinating stuff.  Let me know if you wish to be included in the loop.  All the best from Kathryn!   and a Happy Australia Day to you   :) :) :) :) :) :)

Whoops sorry I meant Thomas' parents being William and Mary Henley. I knew he was married to Amy Mills.

That would be amazing if you could add me. I just started two weeks ago so I'm very new to this.

Thank you so much for your help
