Mayors of Highgate

I hope I'm in the right place!   Family stories have it that one of my mother's brothers was Mayor of Highate, probably in the 1950s.   Does anyone know if a list of mayors might exist, and if so where would be a good place to start looking?

Highgate isn't a London borough - it is an area, formerly a parish in the London borough of Camden. The London boroughs have mayors.

Contact Camden local studies and archives. They should hold a list of former mayors of Camden
