Hello,
You don't give much details.
Do you have Henry and Elizabeth in censuses.

The only ones I can see were married in 1856 Halifax.
Henry was previously married to Amelia.
best wishes
heywood

The only census in which I can find an Henry Tiffany of about the right age is the 1871.

Henry Tiffany      age 57 Huddersfield, Holme
Elizabeth Tiffany age 60 Huddersfield, Holme

If this is him then the only baptism that I see is 13th March 1814 at Elland of Henry and Martha.

There is a marriage in 1835 at Halifax to an Amelia Farrar. Are you sure that Elizabeth wasn't his second wife?

It seems that two Henry Tiffanys married at Halifax in Dec qtr 1856, possible brides included Eliza Bottom and Elizabeth Broomhead.

Hello again,
I didn't post this the other day- waiting for some verification from Kaz1056, but from 1861 census, Henry seems to have married Elizabeth Broomhead.
The transcription is 'Tiffency' but it is written as 'Tiffeney'.

1861 RG9; Piece: 3249; Folio: 123; Page: 9
Magnum, Holme Yorks
Henry Tiffency 47 yrs House Stone Getter b Elland
Elizabeth  50 yrs b Elland
Benjn 16yrs -do-b Salterbrook
Simeon  12 yrs  -do-  b Wooldale
Leeman Broomhead son-in-law 18 yrs Flasg Barer b Elland
Reuben Broomhead son-in-law 14 yrs Slate Getter b Elland

1851
the Leemans are at HO107; Piece: 2299; Folio: 135; Page: 36

Henry and Amelia and family are at HO107; Piece: 2292; Folio: 472; Page: 6

Re the wedding, I had thought that the two Henrys were just variations of the spellings of the name.

Does anyone know about Henry Tiffany's son Laban Tiffany?
I have Henry's wife as Martha Broomhead???

Or alternatively anyone know of Henry Tiffany's father? Probably a John?

Many thanks

Hi

Just seen this link
Henry Tiffany (1783) married Martha Broomhead in 1809, their son Henry (1814) was the second husband of Elizabeth Marsden 1856, her first husband was John (Jack) Broomhead.
All I know on Laban Tiffany (1821) was that he married Mary Farrar 17 Jan 1841.
