Jardine Hall photos?
« on: Sunday 04 July 10 13:56 BST (UK) »
Hi there, does anyone know where I can find photos etc of Jardine Hall Applegirth (or applegarth, it seems to use both names) near Lockerbie?

the Jardines are linked to my tree via Lady Helen Jardine, daughter of Sir William Jardine, marrying into my family lines... so id like to find out as much as I can :)

The net mentions Jardine Lodge too, but cant find any photos, apparently the estate was very... big  lol

hope you can help me :) the more pics the better :)

There seems to be photos of Spedlins Tower available but not the Hall  :-\ What a shame it was blown up by a Jardine, in the 60s wasn't it?  :-\

Here is a photo of Jardine Hall, regretfully blown up in 1964.
Looking for info about my Great Grandfather Pte Robert Jones who won the VC in 1879 in the Zulu War. I have all the info about him which is on the Net but I would like to know who sold his VC in 1996. Did his VC go out of the family or if it was a family member who inherited it, why did they let it go. It is so sad that it left the family. Also more info about his death in 1898, was it an accident or suicide? Hard to believe he killed himself when my Grandma Rose was only 8 and 4 others under 12
