Hmmm - 1881 has them as 'Biel', I think:

Cornelus Biel, 40, german, reformed baptist
Leah, 31
Elizabeth, 11
Laura, 9
M. Mary, 8
Anne, 4
Nelson, 9M

In Uxbridge, Ontario North, Ontario.  All b. Ontario.  You should look for baptist church records/ontario provincial records.

Leah Shaver is in Uxbridge in 1851:

Father William from the US, mother Elizabeth (nee Pipher) and siblings all b. Ontario.

there seem to be quite a few BICE listed as born Cornwall on the GenesReunited.com website .
