My Hartley clan came from Trawden/Colne and settled in Oakworth where my Moses was born.

I've seen the other thread.  Nice man :)

I now know the person who sent me this photo is a chap.

He contacted me today through ancestry to say that the name Moses Hartley appears twice in the guest book of Middleton Hall near Kirkby Lonsdale.

I remembered that I have a photo of some sweet peas grown by Moses in 1910 and on the back there is some writing about the flowers.

I compared it with the images I have been sent today and I think they are the same writing though I am no expert.

All his children married after he died so he does not appear in the few images I have of their weddings.
