Wow! Deeiluka you are a star  :D

I'm just sneaking in at work again, but will take a better look later.

I wonder why the passenger list says scottish if he was born in cork.

So now if we can finally discount any other Corlis/Corles etc from England then there's a good chance this is one of mine.  Shame his death didn't give the name of his mother.  ::)

Or I just wait until I can find his birth in the Irish records.  But I was never a patient girl  ::)

Kerry,

Passenger lists quite commonly have mistakes. It could well be that whoever did the recording took an Irish accent as a Scottish one........

So far I haven't found any more records for the son Albert...... :(

We must be able to find them in 1851 somewhere ...

Henry and Hannah marry in 1844, Preston
Albert bc 1849/50
Ann/Annie Georgina bc 1852/3 Lime ...where is LIME?
1857 ..leave L'Pool for Melbourne

Victorian BDM Indexes use abbreviations for placenames.

LIME could be an abbreviation for LIMEHOUSE......

Is there anywhere else in the UK beginning with LIME?
Isn't there a LIME STREET in Liverpool?
