Hi Andras,

There are possibly hundreds of churches in Liverpool! Why don't you have a look at:

http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/

This is not an exhaustive list of baptisms, but it might help you narrow down your search.
It would help if you could get a more precise year of birth. Why do you think he was born in Liverpool?

Hi Andras,

Most of the churches that have records on there go back to the 1800's and much further. However there are still a lot of church records to be transcribed.

The Lancashire Online Parish Clerk web site lists all churches in Liverpool, West Derby and Toxteth even if there are no records for them online yet. Search the site with all the details you have. If you don't get any hits then at least you know which churches you don't have to look at. :D
Any information that you have that will narrow down your search will be helpful i.e. was he Catholic or Protestant or any other denomination; do you know his father's or mother's name, or any brothers or sisters names; do you know what his job was - you might find something useful in trade directories.

Regards,
Jo.

The registers have not been moved, but Huyton has some microfilmed copies of some Liverpool Registers.
