Thank you for solving the confusion  -  it was your last post giving the 1897 marriage details, inparticular by giving Margaret Florence's surname - Squire that solved the problem for me.

As our old family bible states clearly Florence M Burns married Charles Herbert Calcutt - but as I did not know what our Florence's middle initial of M stood for  and the coincidence that that the old letters we have from Florence  mentioned the places in the 1911 census that lostboys kindly sent me  which was was making me uncertain as to which Florence Calcutt was the right one  - but thanks to your help I now have the right family.

Flukey that both men were Charles Herbert, and that the two couples were virtually identical ages!
