You are probably aware that there is a nice article in the Brisbane Courier Friday 6th October 1916 about how Private Harold Griffith of the Australian Medical Corps won his Military Medal.

What about the "W. H. Smith"/"Harry Smith" mentioned in the newspaper/citation for his Military Medal?

This would make him this one:
http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_details.aspx?casualty=1451867
Date is about right, and he was also of the 7th Field Ambulance

http://naa12.naa.gov.au/scripts/Imagine.asp?B=1792768
page 17 "mentioned for good and gallant conduct with the recent hard fighting around Pozieres"
page 18 has a mention of "private Griffiths G. H."
page 42/23 is "J H Griffiths" (I think this is a mistake for "G H Griffiths") report on his death.

He is the man!!!

I don't know how I missed that  last night. I looked at so many but whilst some of the dates were close I couldn't match up any other details such as the ships embarked on etc. This is the man. Thank you so much.
