Looking for Charlotte Beeching, widow about 60 - 65 in 1851. The 1841 shows her as 50 born in county. She and her husband ran a butcher shop at 46 Cavendish Street. Her husband died in 1847 and her death is registered Q2 1861. Residence on her husbands death cert was 21 Cavendish Street.

Hi there

Have just checked the 1851 census transcription for Brighton (Brighton, Hove, Preston, Patcham, West Blatchington, Hangleton, Portslade, Aldrington, Southwick, Steyning, Old & New Shoreham) without success for your Charlotte Beeching - but I believe this is only part of the census for Brighton in 1851, and I do not have the rest of it at home.

Unfortunately I do not have any of the 1861 Brighton Census

Sorry to be so negative

Chris,

Thank you for your efforts. This particular family has been very elusive.
